On August 15, the Phu My Ward Party Committee (HCMC) held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress was attended by Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; and delegates representing all Party members in the area.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress demonstrates the will and aspiration to build Phu My into a comprehensively and sustainably developed urban area.
In the 2020-2025 term, Phu My ward (formerly Phu My and My Xuan wards) has completed and exceeded the plan to achieve 7/7 economic targets; with industry - handicrafts being the growth driver.
At the same time, social security work, administrative reform, ensuring security and order, and building the Party have all achieved many positive results, contributing to improving people's lives. After the merger, the Phu My Ward Party Committee quickly improved the organizational structure, operated smoothly through the two-level government, and the Public Administration Service Center came into effective operation.
In the 2025-2030 period, the Phu My Party Committee sets a general goal: building a clean and strong political system; developing the economy according to the structure of industry - trade, services - agriculture; promoting digital transformation; maintaining national defense - security; improving the quality of life of the people.
In particular, it identified four breakthroughs including: synchronous development of transportation - technical infrastructure; high-quality logistics services; smart cities - effective management; and quality human resources - technical labor.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Vo Van Minh highly appreciated the results that Phu My ward has achieved in the past time; suggested that the locality urgently stabilize the organization, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
"In particular, focusing on maximizing the local economic potential, following the development orientation of high-tech industries, modern trade - services, high-quality logistics, but must be associated with environmental protection. At the same time, the locality needs to mobilize and effectively use all resources to invest in developing synchronous and modern infrastructure, meeting long-term requirements," Mr. Minh commented.
The Congress also launched the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. In which, Mr. Bui Chi Thanh was appointed as Secretary of the Phu My Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
