On August 14, the Tan Son Nhat Ward Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City, held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress was attended by Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Colonel Tran Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, and 180 delegates representing more than 2,500 Party members in the whole ward.
In his opening speech, Tan Son Nhat Ward Party Secretary Le Hoang Ha said that in the past term, the Party Committee and people of Tan Son Nhat Ward have made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many comprehensive achievements.
The ultimate goal is to build Tan Son Nhat ward into a green city, steadily rising up, improving the quality of life of the people in the new era, Mr. Ha emphasized.
During the past term, the ward has mobilized people to effectively implement the model of "The State and the People work together". As a result, 25 projects have been implemented, with a total contribution from the people of more than 1.5 billion VND.
In particular, the ward has completed the repair and upgrading of 21 alleys, contributing to the completion of the local transport network. At the same time, the ward also mobilizes people, agencies, and businesses to participate in key projects such as the A41 Project, Metro Line 2 and Phan Thuc Duyen Street extension.
In the 2025-2030 term, the ward has set 26 targets, of which state budget revenue will reach 100% of the estimate, average budget revenue will increase by 10%/year; the rate of on-term handling of administrative records in all fields will reach 98%.
Some key projects include the implementation of the TOD project along Metro Line 2, Metro 5, completing the A41 Canal renovation project; renovating and upgrading the Lang Cha Ca roundabout islet; Hoang Viet roundabout...
The Congress also announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to appoint and complete the Executive Committee of the Tan Son Nhat Ward Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 33 comrades; the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee, consisting of 11 comrades.
Comrade Le Hoang Ha was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee; 2 Deputy Secretaries of the Ward Party Committee include Comrade Tran Duc Phuong and Doan Van Du. At the same time, the Inspection Committee of the Ward Party Committee was appointed, consisting of 5 comrades.
In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that Tan Son Nhat ward plays an important strategic role in the overall development of the city. The ward has done a good job of mobilizing people to hand over the site on schedule, promptly serving the implementation of projects.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong suggested that the ward make the most of its geographical location to develop the economy in the direction of high-quality trade - services, logistics; take advantage of opportunities from projects such as Tan Son Nhat T3 Station and urban areas associated with the public transport system.
