Mr. Do Van Chien was approved as Vice Chairman of the National Election Council

Mr. Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was approved as Vice Chairman of the National Election Council.

On June 26, continuing the 9th Session, the Chairman of the National Election Council reported the results of the discussion at the Delegation on the proposal to approve the list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Election Council.

The National Assembly listened to Head of the Counting Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan report on the results of the vote counting and Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung present the draft resolution approving the list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Election Council.

With 431/431 delegates participating in the vote, the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Election Council.

According to the resolution, the National Assembly approved the list of Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council, including:

1, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Election Council, concurrently Head of the Human Resources Subcommittee).

2, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister.

3, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

4, Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President.

Approving the members of the National Election Council include:

1, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee.

2, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.

3, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

4, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense.

5, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security.

6, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, concurrently Head of the Legal Document Subcommittee and settlement of complaints and denunciations.

7, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Head of the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee.

8, Mr. Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, concurrently Head of the Subcommittee for ensuring security, order and social safety.

9, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs.

10, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee.

11, Mr. Le Quang Tung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office.

12, Mr. Lam Van Man - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council.

13, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union.

14, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

The Resolution takes effect from the date of approval by the National Assembly.

Previously, on June 25, the National Assembly voted to pass a resolution to establish a National Election Council of 19 members.
