The 23rd session of the 18th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council today elected the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council (18th term) for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Lai The Nguyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
As a result, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present voted to elect Mr. Lai The Nguyen to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council (term XVIII) for the 2021-2026 term.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lai The Nguyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council affirmed that this is an honor and also a great responsibility that the Party Committee, government, voters and people of all ethnic groups in the province trust and entrust to him.
Mr. Lai The Nguyen pledged that, regardless of his position, he would always be steadfast, firm, absolutely loyal to the Party and the people, and be exemplary in abiding by the law; strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, actively study, cultivate, practice, maintain moral qualities and lifestyle, and improve working capacity; uphold the spirit of responsibility, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly complete all assigned tasks.
As Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Lai The Nguyen vows to inherit and promote the achievements, experiences and results of the Provincial People's Council in previous terms and from the beginning of the Provincial People's Council's term up to now; always strive to work to the best of his ability, together with the Provincial People's Council delegates to continue to innovate and further improve the quality and effectiveness of the Provincial People's Council's operations; regularly contact and closely connect with voters, subject to the supervision of the People; honestly and fully reflect the will and aspirations of voters and people to the Provincial People's Council.
At the same time, strengthen the coordination between the Standing Committee of the People's Council with the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, the National Assembly Delegation of the province and agencies, units and localities in the process of performing tasks with the spirit of "Dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to break through, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate, be creative, dare to face difficulties and challenges", "say what you do", contributing to building a clean, strong, honest, serving local government, truly of the people, by the people and for the people; together with the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province to successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, striving to make Thanh Hoa one of the leading provinces in the country by 2025, and become a modern industrial province by 2030.
