Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, was assigned to be Chairman of the City Initiative Council. 2 Vice Chairmen of the Council are Mr. Ma Chi Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs (Standing Chairman of the Council) and Mr. Tran Dong Phuong An, Deputy Director of the City Department of Science and Technology.
The Council has 9 members who are leaders of departments, branches, and organizations and invited representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, the Labor Federation, and the Youth Union to participate.
The Initiative Council is responsible for reviewing and evaluating initiatives such as technical solutions, management, work, operations, technical application, etc. in terms of scope of impact and effectiveness of application before submitting to the Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee for recognition. This is the basis for proposing to consider awarding emulation titles and forms of commendation according to regulations.
The Council operates according to regulations issued by the Chairman of the Council; the seal of the City Emulation and Reward Council and the Emulation and Reward Board is used during the working process. The operating budget is implemented according to current regulations.
