Assigning tasks to Ministers and 7 Deputy Ministers of Home Affairs

In Decision No. 001/QD-BNV, the Ministry of Home Affairs specifically assigned working tasks to Ministers and 7 Deputy Ministers from March 1.

Accordingly, the task of Party Committee Secretary, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra is to comprehensively lead and manage all activities under the functions, tasks and powers of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Directly direct the units: Department of Organization and Personnel, Central Emulation and Reward Committee.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long is responsible for monitoring and directing the units: Department of Civil Servants - Public Employees; Department of Local Government; Information Technology Center.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang is responsible for monitoring and directing the units: Department of Organization - Border Guard; Ministry Office; Department of Non-governmental Organizations; Department of International Cooperation; Ministry Inspectorate (until the end of operation).

Deputy Minister Cao Huy is responsible for monitoring and directing the following units: Department of Administrative Reform; Department of Legal Affairs; Department of State Secretaries and Archives.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha is responsible for monitoring and directing the following units: Department of Youth and Gender Equality; Magazine of State Organization and Labor; Dan Tri Newspaper; Performing the task of spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh is responsible for monitoring and directing the following units: Department of Employment; Department of Salary and Social Insurance.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan is responsible for monitoring and directing the following units: Department of Planning and Finance; Department of Meritorious People; Department of Overseas Labor Management; Overseas Labor Center; Overseas Employment Support Fund.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi is responsible for monitoring and directing the following units: Institute of State Organization and Labor Science; University of Labor - Social Affairs; Construction Investment Project Management Board; Vietnam Bomb and Mines Repair Action Center; Vietnam Bomb and Mines Repair Support Fund.

The Decision also clearly states that 7 Deputy Ministers will perform other tasks assigned and authorized by the Minister from March 1, 2025.

At the announcement ceremony of Resolution No. 176/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government and the implementation of the personnel work of the Ministry of Home Affairs after the arrangement and consolidation, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra clearly stated the tasks that the Ministry of Home Affairs needs to carry out in the coming time.

The Minister requested to focus on studying the implementation of Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW and Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW of the Politburo, including the historic turning point task of studying the arrangement of a number of provincial-level administrative units, continuing to arrange commune-level administrative units, building a new local government model with the requirement of streamlining, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency.

In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs is re-evaluating all tasks related to social policies such as: Labor and employment issues, meritorious people policies, salaries, social insurance in the public and private sectors.

Before the merger, the Ministry of Home Affairs had 3 Deputy Ministers, including Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang; Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long and Deputy Minister Cao Huy.

After the merger with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs welcomed 4 more Deputy Ministers appointed by the Prime Minister, including: Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha.
