On the morning of June 1, at the Presidential Palace in Manila, the capital, President of the Republic of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his wife chaired a solemn welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation on a state visit to the Philippines from May 31 to June 1.
The convoy carrying General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife entered the Presidential Palace grounds. President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his wife went to the car door to warmly welcome General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife.
The two leaders stepped onto the podium of honor. The military band sang the Vietnamese National Anthem and the Philippine National Anthem. At the same time, 21 rounds of cannons roared to welcome the state visit of General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation.
After the national anthem ceremony, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. proceeded to invite General Secretary and President To Lam to review the guard of honor. Next, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and General Secretary and President To Lam introduced high-level delegates from both sides to attend the welcoming ceremony.

Immediately after the official welcoming ceremony, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his wife, along with General Secretary, President To Lam and his wife, moved into the memorial room at the Presidential Palace.
Here, General Secretary and President To Lam wrote expressing his pleasure to visit the Presidential Palace, deeply impressed with the long-standing culture and aspiration for prosperity of the country and people of the Philippines.
The common understanding reached today between the two countries will bring the friendly neighborly relationship between Vietnam and the Philippines to a new height, bringing practical benefits to the people and the development of each country, actively contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and in the world.
After that, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and General Secretary and President To Lam led the high-level delegation of the two countries to conduct official talks; witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents, and met with the press.
