The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a decision on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the development of the semiconductor industry in Bac Ninh province.
The decision clearly states that the Steering Committee for the Development of the Semiconductor Industry in Bac Ninh province is composed of the following members:
The Head of the Steering Committee is Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.
The Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is the Director of the Department of Finance. The Deputy Head of the Department is the Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
Members are: Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Director of the Department of Education and Training; Director of the Department of Justice; Director of the Department of Construction; Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Head of the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board.
The task of the Steering Committee is to research and propose directions and solutions to promote the development of the semiconductor industry in the province.
Organize coordination between departments, branches, sectors and localities in implementing solutions to promote the development of the semiconductor industry in the province.
The Steering Committee is responsible for developing working regulations for the Provincial Steering Committee for Semiconductor Industry Development.
The members of the Steering Committee work on a part-time basis, responsible to the Head of the Committee for the assigned areas of work; the specific tasks of each member are assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee.
The Head of the Steering Committee is allowed to use the seal of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Heads of the Committee and members of the Steering Committee are allowed to use the apparatus and seal of their agencies and units in the process of directing and operating the activities of the Steering Committee.
With 21 concentrated industrial parks, an average occupancy rate of over 60%, Bac Ninh is becoming the capital of the Northern key industry, a stronghold of the world's leading semiconductor corporations such as: Amkor and Samsung.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, Bac Ninh aims to become a semiconductor industrial center in the North, leading in Vietnam; attracting the development of the semiconductor industry in depth and developing a concentrated information technology park.
At the same time, train and develop human resources with full engineers and experts in microchips; continue to attract foreign investment, call for investment expansion in Bac Ninh, focusing on leading corporations and enterprises in the semiconductor industry.
