On the afternoon of March 12, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long worked with leaders of the three provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Dak Lak to review and remove difficulties and obstacles related to key transport projects.
Set exploitation goals in 2025
Key transportation projects are the Chi Thanh - Van Phong and Van Phong - Nha Trang component projects; Component projects 1, 3 of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway. The total length of the 4 routes is 210km, with a total investment of VND34,079 billion.
According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, the total site clearance volume of the 4 projects is 1,561ha/8,164 households, of which 624 households have been resettled; 13 resettlement areas have been built.
For technical infrastructure works, it is necessary to relocate 423 locations including 1 location of 500kV, 42 locations of 220kV power lines, 253 locations of 110kV and medium and low voltage power lines, 157 locations of fiber optic cables and other works.
Regarding the construction of rest stops, the Ministry of Construction said that 4 projects will build 2 rest stops at the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project and component 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway.
According to the plan, the Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressway section will be completed before December 31, 2025; the component project 1, component 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway is likely to be completed before 2025.
The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway alone has completed 70/83km and is expected to be exploited before April 30, 2025.

Speed up progress, avoid waste and negativity
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long acknowledged and praised the results that localities, contractors, and construction units have implemented for the above expressway projects.
However, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long acknowledged that the construction progress of the component projects 1 and 3 of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressways has not yet met expectations.

Accordingly, the component project 1 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway still has about 2.2km within the first 20km of the route (to be completed in 2025) and many houses are still stuck and have not been resolved. Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long assessed this as the slowest area compared to the expressway projects he has inspected.
For the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway to complete 70/83km and exploit before April 30, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to complete the construction signs and technical equipment.
For all expressway projects, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long suggested that localities continue and be determined in site clearance. At the same time, contractors who do not have the site should also have initiatives to proactively do it gradually. When the site is available, the contractors will do it very quickly.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also requested investors to direct consultants and contractors to review and update construction progress; adjust work in accordance with reality; increase human resources, increase construction resources; review and handle local items, and have solutions for each project.
In particular, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that localities and contractors must ensure traffic safety, be careful in compensation and site clearance procedures, and avoid negativity and waste.
