On May 17, Binh Duong province and Becamex IDC Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for 2 industrial park (IP) projects in Bau Bang district.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and leaders of Binh Duong province, departments, enterprises, and foreign investors.
At the ceremony, delegates broke ground on the construction of Cay Truong Industrial Park and Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion phase 2; at the same time, broke ground on the construction of 1 million m2 of BWID Company's factory in Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh highly appreciated Binh Duong province and Becamex IDC Corporation in transforming the development model from traditional industry to ecological, smart, and sustainable industrial parks. Towards the goal of net zero emissions, integrating digital technology and prioritizing high-tech, environmentally friendly industries.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, this is a model, worth learning and replicating for provinces and cities across the country, contributing to realizing the goal of developing a green and sustainable economy of Vietnam.

Becamex IDC Corporation said that the two industrial parks that have been started have a total investment of more than VND 5,459 billion. In which, Cay Truong Industrial Park with a scale of 700 hectares will prioritize attracting high-tech, environmentally friendly industries. Ready to welcome high-quality FDI projects, in line with the province's sustainable development orientation.
Meanwhile, Bau Bang Industrial Park expanded phase 2 to add 380 hectares of clean land adjacent to the existing Industrial Park, providing synchronous and modern infrastructure, ready to serve large-scale industrial production investors.

Notably, the investor will work with the World Bank to build ecosystems according to international standards EIP 2.0. Research a roadmap for industrial parks to meet international standards on ecology and sustainability. Through solutions such as water reuse, sustainable energy supply, and building an industrial synchronous network.

Building houses for workers
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan - General Director of Becamex IDC said that when implementing, the focus will be on developing social infrastructure. Including the construction of urban areas and houses for experts and workers. In addition, implementing high-quality human resource training programs to provide adequate labor and create a convenient living environment for workers in industrial parks.
