Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra receives additional tasks

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra was assigned to be Chairman of the National Committee for Children.

The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 956/QD-TTg on changing the Chairman of the National Committee for Children.

Decision assigning Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra to perform the task of Chairman of the National Committee for Children.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation (May 28, 2026) and replaces Clause 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 427/QD-TTg dated March 11, 2026 of the Prime Minister on consolidating the National Committee for Children.

According to Decision No. 427/QD-TTg, the National Committee for Children has the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating to resolve important inter-sectoral tasks in the implementation of children's rights and solving children's issues.

The task of the Committee is to research, advise, recommend, and propose to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of children's rights, solve children's issues; assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations of the Front, social organizations, socio-professional organizations in the implementation of children's rights and solving children's issues.
