The Party Committee of the Politburo for the 2025-2030 term held its first meeting, electing the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Inspection Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Politburo for the 2025-2030 term.
Colonel Tran Duc Thang - Deputy Chief of the Political Department of Military Region 7 - was elected to hold the position of Party Secretary.
Colonel Pham Anh Tuan - Political Commissar of Military Region 7 - was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
Colonel Vu Dai Duong holds the position of Deputy Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force
On July 23, the Government Office announced that Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 1582/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister appointing personnel under the Ministry of National Defense.
The Prime Minister appointed Colonel Vu Dai Duong - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force - to hold the position of Deputy Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force.
The above decision takes effect from July 22, 2025.

On July 23, the Logistics - Technical Department of Military Region 7 held a conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of Politburo member of VK102 warehouse.
At the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Le Long Khuong handed over the duties and responsibilities of Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of Kho VK102 to Lieutenant Colonel Doan Thanh Tuyen.
3 military officers go to Abyei to maintain peace

Major Ngo Quoc Cuong - an officer of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, will replace Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Doanh, taking on the position of combat staff officer; the expected deployment time is August 24, 2025.
Captain Pham Phu Hai - an officer of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, deployed to replace Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Lien, to take on the position of Staff officer for the coordination of the military and civil forces; the expected deployment time is August 17.
