On June 21, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province announced that it had just issued Document No. 1444/UBND-NCVX requesting departments, branches, sectors and localities to urgently complete the plan to reorganize public service units, ensuring completion before the new province is officially formed and comes into operation (July 1, 2025).
This is an important implementation step to implement the Project to reorganize Quang Binh province and Quang Tri province into one province - Quang Tri province.
The Provincial People's Committee said that most of the public service units under the provincial and district levels have basically completed the arrangement plan and sent it to the Department of Home Affairs for synthesis. However, there are still some units that have not agreed on the reorganization plan, mainly due to differences in functions, tasks, financial autonomy or scope of operation between the two old provinces.
For units that have agreed, the province requires completion of documents to submit to competent authorities for approval. For cases that have not reached a consensus, temporarily continue to maintain the current model until the new province operates stably, then continue to review and reorganize according to the practical situation.
As for public service units at the commune level, continue to implement the orientation in Official Dispatch No. 1177 of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province and Official Dispatch No. 2405 of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
The Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the arrangement must not disrupt public services, not affect the rights of people, businesses and socio-economic development tasks.
Difficulties and problems in the implementation process need to be promptly compiled and reported to the Provincial People's Committee for direction and resolution.
