The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1241/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Quang Nam province for the 2023-2025 period.
Resolution to merge the entire natural area of 471.64 km2 and population of 35,438 people of Nong Son district into Que Son district. After the merger, Que Son district has a natural area of 729.10 km2 and a population of 139,566 people.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Que Son district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 28.46 km2 and population of 3,190 people of Son Vien commune into Que Loc commune.
After the arrangement, Que Son district has 18 commune-level administrative units, including 15 communes.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Hiep Duc district as follows:
Establish Que Tan commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 30.75 km2, population of 2,018 people of Hiep Thuan commune and the entire natural area of 60.53 km2, population of 2,402 people of Hiep Hoa commune.
After the arrangement, Hiep Duc district has 10 commune-level administrative units, including 9 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Thang Binh district as follows:
Establish Binh Dinh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 15.79 km2, population of 5,130 people of Binh Dinh Bac commune and the entire natural area of 17.42 km2, population of 5,090 people of Binh Dinh Nam commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 15.55 km2 and population of 5,078 people of Binh Chanh commune into Binh Phu commune.
After the arrangement, Thang Binh district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 19 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Duy Xuyen district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 12.92 km2 and population of 5,313 people of Duy Thu commune into Duy Tan commune.
After the arrangement, Duy Xuyen district has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Tien Phuoc district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 16.51 km2 and population of 3,207 people of Tien Cam commune into Tien Son commune.
After the arrangement, Tien Phuoc district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Phu Ninh district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 13.84 km2 and population of 5,607 people of Tam Vinh commune into Phu Thinh town.
After the arrangement, Phu Ninh district has 10 commune-level administrative units, including 9 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Tam Ky city as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 0.66 km2 and population of 5,627 people of Phuoc Hoa ward into An Xuan ward.
After the arrangement, Tam Ky city has 12 commune-level administrative units, including 8 wards and 4 communes.
Dissolution of People's Court and People's Procuracy of Nong Son district.
The People's Court and People's Procuracy of Que Son district are responsible for inheriting the tasks and powers of the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Nong Son district, Quang Nam province according to the provisions of law.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
From the effective date of this Resolution, Quang Nam province has 17 district-level administrative units, including 14 districts, 1 town and 2 cities; 233 commune-level administrative units, including 190 communes, 29 wards and 14 towns.
