Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued Directive No. 02/CT-UBND on organizing the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, which emphasizes the requirement to tighten discipline, administrative order, and strengthen the prevention and control of wastefulness and negativity in all Tet organization activities.
According to the direction, departments, agencies, branches, and localities must thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the regulations of the Central Government and the province; promote the responsibility of heads in directing and operating.
In case of violations of the law, organizing formal, ostentatious Tet, causing waste or affecting security and order, and people's lives, the head of the agency, unit, or locality must be responsible.
Quang Ninh province requests strict implementation of administrative discipline and order in the period before, during and after Tet; arrange officials, civil servants, and public employees to be on duty for Tet reasonably, ensuring timely work resolution, not allowing congestion and delays in administrative procedures of people and businesses. Fully implement the information and reporting regime during the Tet holiday according to regulations.
It is strictly forbidden to give Tet gifts to leaders at lower levels in any form; not to organize visits and Tet greetings to superiors; not to use state budget, vehicles, and public assets illegally for festival and entertainment activities during Tet.
The Directive also requires cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees to set an example in complying with the law, especially regulations on traffic safety, not to drive vehicles when using alcohol or beer; not to participate in superstitious activities or social evils.
Request to organize Tet to ensure safety, economy, practicality, associated with caring for people's lives, especially policy beneficiaries, people in difficult circumstances, workers, and laborers.
Cultural and festival activities are organized in accordance with civilized lifestyles and local cultural traditions, avoiding ostentation and formality.
Immediately after the Tet holiday, agencies, units, and localities must quickly stabilize their organization and focus on implementing key tasks in 2026, ensuring the progress and quality of implementing the socio-economic development goals of the province.
