On July 17, Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed a decision stipulating the number of deputy heads at specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the decision, the Department of Finance, the Department of Construction, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment are assigned no more than 6 deputy directors per unit.
Offices of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Health, Department of Education and Training are arranged with no more than 5 deputy heads.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Inspectorate are assigned no more than 4 deputy heads.
The Department of Justice and the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions are arranged with no more than 3 deputy heads, while the Department of Foreign Affairs is arranged with no more than 2 deputy heads.
Compared to the current number, Quang Tri province has 24 redundant deputy positions compared to the new regulations.
The 3 units with the largest number of deputy heads are the Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Environment, with 9 deputy directors in each department.
Among the total of 14 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, there are 11 agencies with the number of deputy heads exceeding the norms. 3 units meet the regulations, including the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
The Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Health, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism all exceeded 3 deputy heads. The Department of Foreign Affairs exceeded 2 deputy heads.
4 agencies including the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Justice and Provincial Inspectorate exceeded 1 deputy in each unit.
The arrangement and rearrangement of the number of deputy heads will be carried out in the third quarter of 2026 according to the roadmap specified in Directive No. 18 of the Government.
Because these positions are under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee will advise on arrangement plans.
Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee assigned specialized agencies to organize implementation based on the number of deputy heads specified; and at the same time requested competent agencies to consider contents related to personnel work, ensuring compliance with the law and decentralization of management.
