On the afternoon of November 21, the National Assembly Office provided information on the content of the 8th Session's program from November 25 until its closing.
According to the new schedule, the National Assembly will be closed on the morning of November 25 (Monday). At the same time, the National Assembly will add working time on the afternoon of Saturday (November 30). The closing session will take place on the afternoon of November 30 instead of the morning of November 30 as in the old schedule.
Also according to the new program, the working contents of the National Assembly on November 25 will be moved to November 26.
Accordingly, all day on November 26, the National Assembly will listen to and discuss work reports of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; crime prevention and control; enforcement of judgments; and corruption prevention and control in 2024.
On the afternoon of November 25, the National Assembly will discuss in the hall the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising.
After that, the National Assembly will listen to the Government's report and discuss solutions to continue removing difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic so that Vietnam Airlines Corporation can soon recover and develop sustainably.
This is a new content added to the session agenda. This content is expected to be approved by the National Assembly in the session's Joint Resolution.
Another content added to the 8th Session agenda is that the National Assembly will hear a presentation on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on reducing value added tax. At the same time, the draft Resolution will be discussed in the hall on the afternoon of November 28. This content is expected to last about 1 hour.
The content of continuing to reduce value added tax is also expected to be approved by the National Assembly in the joint resolution of the session.
According to the new program, the National Assembly will meet separately to do personnel work from late afternoon on November 27 and on November 28.
Previously, on November 7, with the majority of delegates in agreement, the National Assembly also agreed to adjust the program of the 8th Session.
