According to the program, at the First Extraordinary Session, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequencies, the Law on Telecommunications, the Law on Electronic Transactions and the Law on Technology Transfer.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan said that the draft Law does not change the scope of regulation and subjects of application of the four current laws, but focuses on removing obstacles in the implementation process.
The draft Law consists of 5 articles, focusing on three major groups of contents including reducing and simplifying administrative procedures and investment and business conditions; promoting decentralization and delegation of power; and at the same time perfecting regulations related to frequency resources, telecommunications infrastructure, Internet resources and reliable services.
The amendment aims to continue administrative procedure reform, reduce business conditions, and at the same time complete the legal corridor to improve the efficiency of state management and promote the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation" - Minister Vu Hai Quan emphasized.
Also on the same day, the National Assembly held a separate meeting to discuss in the hall the proposal to ratify the agreement related to the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant Project.
The Minister of Industry and Trade spoke to explain and clarify some issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
Previously, on August 11, the National Assembly listened to the Vice President present the State President's Submission on the proposal to ratify the agreement related to the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant Project.
