Implementing Resolution No. 1318/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated December 10, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period of Ninh Binh province, as of January 1, 2025, Ninh Binh province has 7 district-level administrative units (including 5 districts and 2 cities).
For commune-level administrative units, Ninh Binh province has 125 units, including 101 communes, 18 wards and 6 towns. According to the "Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Ninh Binh province in 2025", the number of commune-level administrative units implementing the arrangement is 125 units (100%).
After the arrangement, Ninh Binh province will have 39 commune-level administrative units (including 8 wards and 31 communes), a reduction of 86 commune-level administrative units (including 70 communes, 10 wards and 6 towns), a reduction of 68.8%.
Regarding the plan and roadmap for arranging and handling headquarters and public assets after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, units promptly renovate, repair, upgrade, and expand offices and working headquarters of agencies and organizations in accordance with actual needs and in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring effective exploitation of existing public assets.
The handling of surplus houses and land after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units is carried out in accordance with current regulations. Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee continues to review, count, and develop plans for arrangement and use.
At the same time, transferring to other agencies and units to use in the direction of: priority for education, health, security, defense, public administrative service center of new communal administrative units, public spaces serving activities of the community; Transfer to organizations with local housing business management and exploitation according to the regulations within 5 years from the date of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of communal administrative units of Ninh Binh province, the implementation effect will complete the arrangement and handling of headquarters as prescribed.
