The Government Inspectorate has just issued a Report on the Results of resolving and responding to voters' petitions sent after the 10th session, 15th National Assembly.
In which, voters in Ca Mau province reflected through reality that corruption mainly occurs in a part of cadres and civil servants with positions and powers; however, the handling of some cases is not sufficiently deterrent.
Voters proposed that competent authorities continue to review and improve legal regulations, strengthen inspection and strictly handle corrupt acts in accordance with regulations, ensuring the strictness of the law; and at the same time tighten financial discipline and order, strengthen management of the use of state budget to prevent and prevent losses and waste, especially in public investment.
Answering this recommendation, the Government Inspectorate said that in the past time, the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity (PCTNLPTC) has been led and directed drastically by the Party and State with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions, regardless of who that person is".
Functional agencies have focused on inspection, examination, auditing, investigation, prosecution, and strict trial of many serious and complex corruption and economic cases, handling both incumbent and retired officials, and senior officials under central management. Basically, it has created a strong wake-up, warning, and deterrent force for the contingent of officials, party members, and civil servants and has been agreed and highly appreciated by the people.
To further strengthen the vigilance and deterrence, and ensure the strictness of the law, the Government and the Government Inspectorate have identified the completion of institutions to "prevent corruption" as a key task.
Regarding this issue, one of the contents mentioned by the Government Inspectorate is to continue and accelerate the verification, investigation, and thorough handling of serious and complex TNLPTC cases that are of public concern, cases and incidents of corruption and negativity in the non-state sector with collusion with degenerate and degenerate cadres, civil servants, and public employees, not allowing the formation of "interest groups" to appropriate state assets, manipulate policies, and seize power.
Notably, the Government Inspectorate said that the entire Inspectorate sector will continue to strengthen inspections in sensitive areas with high public opinion about corruption and waste such as: large investment projects, public investment, land management and use, natural resources and environment, minerals, finance, budget. Resolutely and strictly handle the responsibility of heads when corruption and waste occur in their agencies and units; and effectively prevent harassment and causing trouble for people and businesses.
