This activity is organized by the People's Army Newspaper (QĐND) in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
Introducing the content of summarizing and awarding prizes for the contest, Colonel Le Ngoc Long - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of QĐND Newspaper, Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest - said: The Organizing Committee of the 5th contest has received 651 entries from 72 press agencies, an increase of 110 entries and 21 press agencies compared to the 4th contest.
After 5 times of organization, the contest has continuously expanded in scale, enhanced its stature and become a professional, prestigious "playground" with increasing attraction, spread and influence in the country's journalistic life.
The contest contributes to connecting, mobilizing, and multiplying the strength of press agencies nationwide in propaganda, struggle, and protection of the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Exchanging some contents of press interest, Major General Doan Xuan Bo - Editor-in-Chief of QĐND Newspaper - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest - emphasized: The new features of the 5th Contest are in the context of implementing 2-level local government; the Party and Government's policy in streamlining press agencies; reading culture is having many impacts, artificial intelligence is deeply influencing social life.
But in that context, what is very happy is that this contest attracted 72 press agencies to participate. This answers many questions for us: Regarding the necessity of the contest, the responsibility of officials, party members, press agencies and the responsibility of the Organizing Committee.
Writing to protect the ideological foundation of the Party must be written from our hearts and liver. Every time we write about protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, it is a time for us to awaken our conscience to the Party, to the Fatherland" - Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized.
Providing more information about some special points of the contest, Colonel Le Ngoc Long said that this contest has a case of an A prize-winning work in the group of authors with both husband and wife participating. Based on the regulations and scoring rules, through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, the Final Judging Council unanimously selected 31 excellent works to submit to the Organizing Committee for decision on awarding 3 types of prizes in the 5th Contest. Including: 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 9 C prizes and 13 Consolation prizes. The summary and award ceremony will be held on the evening of May 19, combining reports and revolutionary songs praising the glorious Party, Great Uncle Ho, and love for the homeland and country.
