On June 26, Major General Truong Manh Dung - Commander of Military Region 1 - chaired a conference to hand over, receive, and reorganize the Military Commands of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces into the Military Command of Bac Ninh province under Military Region 1.
The conference was attended by Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Mr. Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province.
At the conference, the Military Commands of the two provinces handed over and comprehensively received the following contents: Function and tasks of agencies and units; weapons, technical equipment, document systems; national defense land... Accordingly, all activities will be transferred to the new Military Command of Bac Ninh province.
Speaking at the Conference, Major General Truong Manh Dung emphasized that this is a special event of great significance, marking a new step in the development of the armed forces of the two provinces.
In the current period, the task requirements of the armed forces of the Military Region are increasingly high, the scale and organization of the armed forces of Bac Ninh province will be larger, functions and tasks will be supplemented more heavily with the new arrangement.
To successfully complete the assigned tasks, the Military Command of Bac Ninh province needs to urgently focus on leading and directing the implementation of the major policies of the Party and the army; deeply grasp the functions and requirements of immediate and long-term tasks, clearly identify determination, overcome difficulties to successfully complete political tasks, build a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical" right from the first day, first week, first month.
Lead and direct the work of grasping the situation of the area, the economic, social, national defense and security situation.
Clearly identify the advantages and difficulties, thereby advising local Party committees and authorities on military and defense tasks.
Major General Truong Manh Dung suggested that the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the People of the new Bac Ninh province continue to pay attention, trust, accompany and create the most favorable conditions for the provincial armed forces to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
