

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung said that after the merger, the province will form a new development space with an area of more than 8,500 km2 and a population of nearly 3.25 million people. The new scale helps Tay Ninh become a strategically important locality in the Southeast region, playing a role in connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Cambodian border area.

According to the report, in 2025, the province's socio-economy achieved many notable results when completing all key targets. Economic growth rate reached 9.52%, the scale of the economy ranked in the leading group in the country. State budget revenue exceeded estimates, creating room for development investment and ensuring social security.

Industry continues to play a driving force for growth, with 34 industrial parks operating, the occupancy rate reaching about 69%. Along with that, the province is implementing the planning of new industrial parks to meet the needs of attracting investment in the coming period. The urban development sector recorded many large-scale projects, contributing to expanding urban space and improving infrastructure quality.
Tourism is also a bright spot when in 2025, Tay Ninh welcomed more than 8.8 million visitors. Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area continues to be a key destination, contributing significantly to the local service and commercial revenue.

In parallel with economic development, social security work is focused on. The rate of multidimensional poverty has decreased to a low level, and people's lives have gradually improved. Infrastructure systems, especially inter-regional transportation, continue to be invested with key projects such as Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4 and highways connecting the region.
In the period 2026-2030, Tay Ninh determines to focus on implementing strategic transport infrastructure projects, creating a foundation for sustainable socio-economic development, while improving regional linkage capacity in the Southeast region.
