From early morning, the family of veteran Nguyen Van Nhanh (Dong Hai commune, Ca Mau province) rented a car to go to Uncle Ho Temple in Chau Thoi commune. Mr. Nhanh said: "Every year, on September 2, my family organizes a visit to Uncle Ho even though the distance from home to the Temple is more than 60 km. I have the independent day I have today thanks to Uncle Ho's merits".
This year, Ca Mau province will not organize on September 2 but will postpone to July 21 of the lunar calendar to organize activities according to the Uncle Ho's death anniversary. However, many people still go to Uncle Ho's Temple to burn incense and commemorate the National Day.
The special thing about the death anniversary is the simple meals and gifts of the homeland offered to Uncle Ho. This is a meaningful activity maintained annually by the "Incense-to-Child Temple of President Ho Chi Minh" Club of Chau Thoi commune. Not only a memorial ceremony but also an opportunity for today's generation to express their sacred feelings for Uncle Ho, engrave his teachings, strive to study and follow his teachings, contributing to building the homeland and the country to become more and more prosperous.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - affectionately called by the local people as the Seven Departments, who has been preserving, protecting and caring for Uncle Ho Temple for more than 50 years - informed: On the morning of May 19, 1972, the inauguration ceremony of Uncle Ho Temple was held in the joy and solemnity of more than a thousand people in the commune and soldiers of Vinh Loi district. This has historical significance, humanistic value, affection and the heart of the Party Committee and the people of Bac Lieu province for Uncle Ho.
In 1998, the President Ho Chi Minh Temple in Chau Thoi Commune was ranked as a National Historical Site by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). This is a great pride for the Party Committee and the army and people of Bac Lieu province in general, and Vinh Loi district in particular (now Ca Mau province). In 2010, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee restored and embellished the Uncle Ho Temple relic. The relic is expanded with a total area of over 45,000 m2, a total investment of over 60 billion VND, capital contributed by the State, localities and people in the province. Cadres, people, and businesses in the province also donated many beautiful ornamental plants and artifacts worth billions of dong.
According to the plan, this year the Uncle Ho's death anniversary will be celebrated by Ca Mau province on the 21st of the 7th lunar month. Representatives of units and localities offered flowers and incense to Uncle Ho, expressing their gratitude to his gratitude to the people and the country. According to Chau Thoi people, having become independent today, we cannot forget Uncle Ho's great gratitude.
Mr. Khoi Tam Phuoc - Head of the Veterans Club burning incense to commemorate Uncle Ho - said: "Since 2014, the club has held Uncle Ho's death anniversary on the 21st of the 7th lunar month in accordance with the worship tradition of the ancestors. We consider him as our father, as the father of the family. Therefore, every year, when Uncle Ho's death anniversary comes, very early, some bring fruit, some bring sticky rice, some wrap traditional cakes, make dishes and gather at the temple to create a well-done meal, respectfully offer to Uncle Ho. The meal is simple and simple with local specialties but is warm and affectionate.
