On April 30, at the Thong Nhat Palace, Ho Chi Minh City, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien received the National Liberation Front (FLN) Algeria led by Politburo Member of FLN Bensalem Mohamed on the occasion of attending the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation Day, the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - 30.4.2025).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien warmly welcomed the FLN high -ranking delegation to attend the celebration, an event not only of great significance to the Vietnamese people but also to grateful to the valuable support of international friends and people who love world peace, including Algeria, in the nation's sense of defense.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien emphasized the history of solidarity and mutual support between the two Parties and countries in the struggle for national liberation, shared the aspiration for national independence, developed a prosperous and happy country, considering this an invaluable asset that needs to be consolidated, promoted and passed on to future generations.
Politburo member Bensalem Mohamed transferred the congratulations of General Secretary of the Algerian National Liberation Front to General Secretary To Lam to congratulate the Vietnamese people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; affirming the victory of the Vietnamese nation in the righteous struggle for national independence is always endless inspiration for generations of leaders and Algeria people.
Mr. Bensalem Mohamed affirmed that the FLN always remembers the support of the Communist Party and people of Vietnam in the struggle for national independence of Algeria.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien congratulated the achievements of the FLN Party in recent times, continuing to maintain its role as the leading political party in Algeria, with many important contributions in leading the country towards building a country with comprehensive economic, cultural and social development.
Mr. Do Van Chien informed the delegation about the socio-economic and foreign development situation of Vietnam, Vietnam's goals in the era of national growth, emphasizing that to achieve that goal, Vietnam focuses on 3 strategic breakthroughs, taking science, technology and innovation as motivation and urgently streamlining to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency of the state apparatus.

As two traditional political parties, the two sides agreed to increase the exchange of experiences in Party building, leadership, and national governance, training cadres and developing theoretical developments in accordance with the new context; soon complete negotiations to sign a Cooperation Agreement between the two Parties.
The two sides agreed to continue promoting the exchange of measures between Government and National Assembly agencies to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries, especially in economics, trade, energy, and culture, to be in-depth, substantial, and effective, meeting the aspirations of the leaders and people of the two countries.
