The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1314/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Hue city for the 2023-2025 period.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province to serve as the basis for establishing districts of Hue city as follows:
Establish Long Ho ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 46.91km2, population of 5,554 people of Huong Tho commune and the entire natural area of 33.53km2, population of 10,670 people of Huong Ho ward.
Establish Thuan An ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 9.69km2, population of 6,741 people of Hai Duong commune and the entire natural area of 16.28km2, population of 24,003 people of Thuan An ward.
Establish Duong No ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.85km2, population of 12,266 people of Phu Duong commune, the entire natural area of 7.17km2, population of 10,953 people of Phu Mau commune and the entire natural area of 7.61km2, population of 4,766 people of Phu Thanh commune.
Establish Thuy Bang ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 22.78km2 and population of 9,153 people of Thuy Bang commune.
Establish Huong Phong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 16.68km2 and population of 10,574 people of Huong Phong commune.
Establish districts of Hue city as follows:
Establish Phu Xuan district on the basis of a part of the natural area of 127.05km2 and population of 203,142 people of Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province.
Phu Xuan District has 13 wards, including: An Hoa, Dong Ba, Gia Hoi, Huong An, Huong Long, Huong So, Huong Vinh, Kim Long, Long Ho, Phu Hau, Tay Loc, Thuan Hoa and Thuan Loc.
Establish Thuan Hoa district on the basis of the entire natural area of 139.41km2 and population of 297,507 people of Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province after adjustment.
Thuan Hoa District has 19 wards, including: An Cuu, An Dong, An Tay, Duong No, Huong Phong, Phu Hoi, Phu Nhuan, Phu Thuong, Phuong Duc, Phuoc Vinh, Thuan An, Thuy Bang, Thuy Bieu, Thuy Van, Thuy Xuan, Truong An, Vinh Ninh, Vy Da and Xuan Phu.
Establish Phong Dien town on the basis of the entire natural area of 945.66 km2 and population of 105,597 people of Phong Dien district.
Merge the entire natural area of 647.82km2 and population of 26,427 people of Nam Dong district into Phu Loc district. After merging, Phu Loc district has a natural area of 1,368.23km2 and a population of 180,606 people.
Establish Loc Son town in Phu Loc district on the basis of the entire natural area of 18.99 km2 and population of 8,593 people of Loc Son commune.
Establish Hue City People's Court on the basis of inheriting Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Court.
Establish Hue City People's Procuracy on the basis of inheriting Thua Thien Hue Province People's Procuracy.
Dissolution of the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province.
Establishment of Thuan Hoa District People's Court and Phu Xuan District People's Court.
Establishment of Thuan Hoa District People's Procuracy and Phu Xuan District People's Procuracy.
Establish Phong Dien Town People's Court on the basis of inheriting Phong Dien District People's Court.
Establish Phong Dien Town People's Procuracy on the basis of inheriting Phong Dien District People's Procuracy.
Dissolve Nam Dong District People's Court and Nam Dong District People's Procuracy.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
From the effective date of this resolution, Hue city has 9 district-level administrative units and 133 commune-level administrative units.
