On January 15, Hanoi City Police organized a Conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace regarding the personnel expected to be introduced for election as National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and Hanoi City People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term.
Opening the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police Department, approved the personnel of the Hanoi Police Department that are expected to introduce candidates for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; standards for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies.
Accordingly, based on the standards of deputies, Hanoi City Police proposed to introduce Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung to be re-elected to the City People's Council and Major General Duong Duc Hai to run for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term.
After the announcement of delegate standards and expected personnel, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Quang, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department, Secretary of the Conference, reported a summary biography of the leaders of the City Police Department who are expected to introduce candidates for National Assembly and City People's Council deputies.
Under the direction of Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, the Conference proceeded to discuss and collect opinions from each voter on each personnel expected to be introduced for the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies.
Opinions all affirmed that the 2 personnel who were introduced to run for National Assembly deputies and re-nominated for City People's Council deputies are all leaders of the City Police who grew up from the grassroots level, have morality, political bravery, capacity, and full responsibility for their work; have excellently completed all assigned tasks; and have been recognized by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, and City People's Committee leaders with many noble awards.
At the conference, 100% of voters of Hanoi City Police voted to approve the introduction of personnel to run for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies for Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung and Major General Duong Duc Hai.
On the same day, the expanded Hanoi City Police Leadership Conference proceeded to vote and unanimously introduced the above-mentioned 2 personnel to run for National Assembly deputies and City People's Council deputies, with a 100% approval rate for delegates attending the conference.
