According to the Government Electronic Information Portal, on June 24, the Prime Minister signed Decision 1267/QD-TTg appointing personnel to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City (new) for the 2021-2026 term.
According to the decision, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee (new) for the 2021-2026 term.
Before being appointed, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet (49 years old, from Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) was the Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee. He has a high level of political theory, Master of Business Administration, and Silicat Technology Engineer.
The Prime Minister has also signed Decision No. 1331/QD-TTg appointing personnel to hold the positions of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City (new) for the 2021 - 2026 term, including:
1. Mr. Ho Ky Minh, member of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
2. Mr. Phan Thai Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the 2021 - 2026 term.
3. Mr. Tran Nam Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the 2021-2026 term.
4. Mr. Ho Quang Buu, member of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
5. Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, member of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
6. Mr. Le Quang Nam, member of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
7. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, member of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
8. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, member of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province were merged, taking the name of Da Nang City, the administrative center located in the current Da Nang City.
The new Da Nang city has an area of over 12,000km2, including 94 commune-level administrative units, with a population of over 3 million people.
