Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Ninh Binh facility officially went into operation, marking an important step in the development of a specialized health system, contributing to reducing the burden on central-level hospitals and creating conditions for people in the southern Red River Delta and North Central Coast to access high-tech services right in the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung expressed his pleasure to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Ninh Binh facility.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister praised the Ministry of Health, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Ninh Binh province and relevant ministries, branches and units for their efforts to remove difficulties and put the hospital into operation after many years of delay, contributing to improving medical examination and treatment capacity and helping people access high-quality medical services right in the locality.
The Prime Minister emphasized that people are the center of development, so investing in healthcare is investing in the future of the country. The operation of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Ninh Binh contributes to restructuring the medical examination and treatment network, reducing the burden on hospitals in Hanoi, helping people access high technology at a more reasonable cost, and promoting training, scientific research, technology transfer and socio-economic development of Ninh Binh and the region.
In the coming time, to ensure that Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Ninh Binh facility operates effectively and brings practical benefits to the people, the Prime Minister proposed:
First, the Ministry of Health continues to improve mechanisms and policies to develop a modern and synchronous network of medical examination and treatment; promote decentralization, administrative procedure reform, hospital governance innovation, effective use of resources and create conditions for medical facilities, including Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Ninh Binh facility, to improve service quality. At the same time, soon submit a Project to reorganize the distribution system of drugs and medical equipment to reduce intermediaries and improve service quality.
Second, ministries, branches and localities need to coordinate with the Ministry of Health to develop health infrastructure, train human resources, digitally transform, complete connecting transportation and effectively mobilize social resources, towards building a synchronous and modern health ecosystem.
Third, Ninh Binh province continues to support the two hospitals to complete auxiliary infrastructure, ensure security, create stable operating conditions, and at the same time research and develop medical tourism services.
Fourth, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Ninh Binh facility needs to ensure professional quality, patient safety, improve medical ethics, innovate management, promote training, technology transfer, human resource development, science and technology and digital transformation to become the nucleus connecting central healthcare with localities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that investing in healthcare is investing in the future of the country, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and sustainable development. The Prime Minister expects the team of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital to promote its 120-year tradition, maintain medical ethics, innovate and create, and make Ninh Binh facility a modern specialized end-line hospital, on par with the region.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital - said that putting the Ninh Binh facility into operation not only expands the development space of the hospital but also shows the determination to bring specialized medical techniques closer to the people.
Ninh Binh facility is built with comprehensive treatment capacity in many deep surgical specialties such as neurosurgery, cardiology, liver and gallbladder, gastroenterology, traumatology and orthopedics, traumatology, head, face, neck, chest, spine, urology, microsurgery, pediatrics, intensive care and extrahospital emergency. The team of leading experts and doctors of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital will directly participate in examination, treatment, surgery, training and technology transfer, ensuring synchronous professional quality between the two facilities.
We aim to build a modern, safe, and quality medical examination and treatment facility, putting patients at the center, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare and effectively implementing the policy of reducing overload of central-level hospitals," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung emphasized.
The operation of the hospital is expected to shorten the time to access emergency care, reduce the rate of referrals, reduce travel and treatment costs for patients, and improve the ability to handle severe cases and complex diseases right in the area.
This is also an important premise to form a modern specialized end-line medical center, serving the health care needs of people in Ninh Binh and the southern provinces of the Red River Delta and North Central Coast, contributing to limiting the situation where patients have to be transferred to Hanoi or abroad for treatment.
