Voter Phan Van Tay (Thoi Hung commune, Co Do district) proposed that the Prime Minister and the City's National Assembly Delegation direct and propose to relevant agencies to promptly have specific and practical policies to support farmers participating in the implementation of the Project on sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030.
Voter Nguyen Van Thang (Thoi Dong commune, Co Do district) proposed that the Prime Minister and the city's National Assembly delegation pay attention to and urge ministries and branches to implement solutions to overcome landslides and flooding, especially the project to ensure water security for the West Hau River area and prevent flooding and landslides for Can Tho city.
Voter Nguyen Huu Dien (Trung An commune, Co Do district) suggested that the relevant agencies should be proactive and pay attention to calling on corporations and enterprises to participate early to ensure that the Project of the Agricultural Production and Processing Linkage Center; industrial parks (including VSIP Industrial Park) are filled after completion, in order to prevent waste and promote project efficiency. At the same time, pay attention to and implement well policies on vocational training, creating conditions for labor transfer from agriculture to industry and services.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh provided more information on the results of the 8th Session. Regarding voter Nguyen Van Thang's opinion, the Prime Minister said that the Government has directed ministries and branches to review and develop a comprehensive project to prevent landslides, saltwater intrusion, drought, and climate change in the entire Mekong Delta region, and requested Can Tho to actively participate.
