At the construction site of the North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the construction efforts when the output reached over 97% of the contract value. The project is 65km long, with a total investment of nearly VND10,000 billion, starting from January 1, 2023, expected to be completed in October 2025. The units are striving to open to traffic on August 19, 2025.
However, site clearance for additional items such as residential access roads, around-turning points, rest stops and toll stations is still problematic. The Prime Minister requested Quang Tri province to urgently and thoroughly handle the problems, and at the same time direct contractors to increase human resources, organize construction in "3 shifts, 4 teams" to ensure progress, quality, safety and environmental sanitation.

Reviewing the Quang Tri Airport project, the Prime Minister assessed the location as having strategic potential, facilitating connections with highways, high-speed railways, and seaports. The Prime Minister requested to speed up phase 1 of the project, ensuring completion in July 2026 as committed, and at the same time orient the development of the airport urban model, high-tech industrial park, and aviation logistics services. The Prime Minister emphasized the goal of bringing the airport to level 4F in the future, becoming an aviation industrial center and a driving force for regional development.
At My Thuy port area, the Prime Minister acknowledged the active working spirit of the construction force. The port has a scale of 10 wharves, an exploitation capacity of 30 million tons/year, a total investment of 15,000 billion VND, and construction in 3 phases. Phase 1 is implementing 2 ports, with a volume of 62%; the items of breakwater and train drainage are on schedule.

The Prime Minister pointed out the strategic role of My Thuy port in the Central region's logistics chain, connecting with traffic routes and border gates. The Prime Minister requested investors to speed up construction, ensure quality, aesthetics and the environment, and at the same time study port development planning in the direction of modernization, greening, digital transformation, and smart governance.
The Prime Minister requested Quang Tri province and relevant ministries and branches to proactively think about breakthroughs, synchronously deploy major infrastructure projects such as high-speed railways, coastal roads, airports, seaports, etc. to create a foundation for sustainable development, improve inter-regional connectivity capacity and attract investment.
