On the morning of July 26, within the framework of a working trip to a number of Central provinces, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the Nguyen Hoang bridge project across the Huong River and the social housing project in the new urban area of An Van Duong, Hue City.
In the new urban area of An Van Duong, the Prime Minister visited Thuy Van complex - phase 2 with a scale of about 44.65 hectares, invested by Cotana Capital Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, with a total estimated investment of more than VND 2,241 billion.
Hue City is currently implementing a plan to implement the Project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments in the period of 2021 - 2030 under the direction of the Prime Minister, with the goal of completing about 7,700 apartments by 2030. Of which, in the period of 2021 - 2025, about 3,100 units will be completed and in the period of 2025 - 2030, about 4,600 units will be completed. In 2025 alone, the locality aims to build 1,200 apartments.
Visiting and giving gifts to households in social housing areas, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his joy when people could live in spacious apartments with synchronous infrastructure, and highly appreciated the drastic participation of local authorities and investors in developing social housing projects.
The Prime Minister emphasized that in recent times, the Government has always paid attention to the issue of housing for workers and laborers through many policies and solutions to remove difficulties. The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to focus on handling problems and accelerating the progress of social housing development - a major policy of the Party and State to ensure social security for the people, in accordance with the spirit of "Settling down to make a living".
The Prime Minister said that social housing is entitled to preferential loans and land funds, so the selling price is more suitable for low-income people. Reforming administrative procedures and shortening construction time will contribute to reducing costs and costs. In addition, the Prime Minister noted that technical and social infrastructure systems such as transportation, electricity, water, healthcare, education, and environment need to be fully invested in, ensuring living conditions for people equivalent to commercial housing projects.
In particular, the project has many young households, the Prime Minister suggested that the authorities create favorable conditions for young people under 35 years old to access preferential credit packages specifically for this group that are being implemented by banks, thereby contributing to reducing the financial burden when buying a house.

Also on the same morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the Nguyen Hoang bridge project - the 5th bridge across the Huong River, located between Tu Cam Thanh and Thien Mu pagoda, connecting from Nguyen Hoang Street (Kim Long Ward) to Bui Thi Xuan Street (Phuong Duc Ward).
The project to build Nguyen Hoang bridge and Nguyen Hoang street has a total investment of more than VND 2,281 billion from the State budget. The bridge is designed with the image of "Thien Mu Cave", bearing the cultural imprint of the ancient capital.
Commending the efforts of Hue City during the construction process, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the implementation on schedule and the effective use of the central government's support capital.
The Prime Minister suggested that the city continue to research and complete the urban space development plan, taking the Huong River as the main axis; build more bridges with beautiful architecture, develop synchronous infrastructure, park systems, trees, walking space, environmentally friendly transportation, thereby creating new development space, serving tourism development, services, and improving the quality of life for people.
