Spanish Prime Minister begins official visit to Vietnam

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam.

On the evening of April 8, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam from April 8 to 10 at the invitation of Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

According to VNA, welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain Doan Thanh Song.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was born on February 29, 1972 in Madrid, Spain. He has a PhD in Economics from Camilo Jose Cela University (2012).

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez sympathizes and wishes to promote the Vietnam-Spanien Strategic Partnership; met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of the ASEAN-EU Summit in Belgium (12.2022), the G20 Summit in Brazil (11.2024).

Right before the visit, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasized, "Vietnam has become a magnet for attracting foreign investment" and affirmed, "through the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, Spanish companies, leaders in areas such as infrastructure and renewable energy, will be able to develop important business opportunities in Vietnam".
