Prime Minister hands over appointment and assignment decisions to 2 Deputy Prime Ministers and 3 Ministers

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the President's decisions on personnel appointments to 2 Deputy Prime Ministers and 3 Ministers.

On October 25, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the ceremony to announce the Decisions to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers: Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ho Quoc Dung; Ministers of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Agriculture and Environment.

At the event, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh announced and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the President's decisions on personnel appointments.

Previously, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the President conducted procedures, approvals, and appointment decisions for 5 members of the Government for the 2021-2026 term.

Accordingly, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee holds the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee holds the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee holds the position of Minister of Home Affairs.

Speaking at the direction and assignment of tasks to Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the dedication and persistent efforts of comrades in their positions.

Regardless of their position, they have completed their assigned tasks well, contributing significantly to the overall achievements and the growth, maturity of the industry, locality, agency, and unit.

The Prime Minister affirmed that there is not much time left until the end of the year, the workload to be completed is still very large, high quality requirements, ensuring timely progress, the tasks assigned to the Government are still extremely heavy.

In particular, contributing to building a truly clean and strong Party; taking care of building a team of cadres and Party members, especially leaders with enough heart, ability, talent, and strength; tightening discipline, order, resolutely preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.

Focus on implementing resolutions and conclusions of the Party and National Assembly, strategic resolutions of the Politburo, instructions of General Secretary To Lam, and key leaders.

Continuing to build a Government "creating development, integrity, drastic actions, serving the people", members of the Government continue to unite, promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, decision-making according to authority, assigned duties and tasks; strictly implement working regulations, clearly express opinions.

Stably organize the apparatus, build a modern, smart, streamlined, efficient, effective and efficient administration.

Prioritize promoting growth, maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, and ensuring major balances of the economy. Strive for GDP growth of 8.3-8.5% in 2025 and sustainable double-digit growth in the coming years.

Implement social security well, improve people's lives, effectively manage and use resources, protect the environment, and adapt to climate change.

The Prime Minister directs relevant agencies to urgently develop a set of criteria to conduct assessments of cadres on the basis of concretizing Regulation No. 366-QD/TW of the Politburo on reviewing, evaluating and classifying quality for collectives and individuals in the political system.
