On January 11, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy the direction and tasks for 2026 of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, the Prime Minister clearly stated that, looking back at 2025, the opinions at the Conference unanimously agreed that the Government Party Committee has focused on leading and directing with the nature of "changing the status, changing the situation".
Focus on leading and directing the work of arranging the organizational structure, rearranging the country, streamlining staff; leading and directing comprehensively in the fields of culture, society, education, health, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Agencies have been and are implementing tasks for 2026 in the spirit of key tasks that the 14th National Congress of the Party will identify.
The Government Party Committee and Party committees and Party organizations in the entire Party Committee need to base on their functions, tasks, and powers to organize and implement well in building a clean and strong Party at all levels, improving the leadership capacity and combat strength of Party organizations and Party members, as well as implementing political tasks.
In implementing political tasks, the Prime Minister emphasized the requirement to continue to focus on building, completing and effectively implementing the strategic vision, strategic autonomy, and two 100-year strategic goals.
On that basis, implement 5 specific strategies: Completing the strategic institution, mobilizing strategic resources, investing in strategic infrastructure, developing strategic technology and maintaining strategic balance.
In 2026, the Government Party Committee will focus on leading and directing a number of tasks and solutions: Focus on directing the organization and service work, ensuring absolute safety, and successfully organizing the 14th Party Congress.
Focus on thoroughly grasping, leading, and directing the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the action program to implement the Resolution and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress; deploy assigned tasks according to the full-term working program of the 14th Central Executive Committee, the working program of the Politburo, and the Secretariat in 2026.
Along with that, thoroughly grasp and organize the implementation of the Central Conclusion, Resolution 244 of the National Assembly on the 2026 socio-economic development plan, Resolution 01 of the Government; effectively organize the implementation of strategic breakthrough resolutions of the Politburo; continue to implement the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure at the Central and local levels.
Continue to promote the implementation of 3 strategic breakthroughs; focus on developing culture, education, training, ensuring social security, not leaving anyone behind; maintain independence and sovereignty, ensure political stability, social order and safety, maintain a peaceful and stable environment for development; continue to strengthen national defense and security potential; promote foreign affairs and international integration.
Immediately after this conference, the Government Party Committee and the Government proposed that Party committees and Party organizations in the entire Party Committee, based on the conference conclusions, urgently develop and implement specific programs and plans, clearly define goals, tasks, solutions, results, and responsibilities for organizing implementation; strive to comprehensively complete and achieve the highest results for targets and tasks in 2026.
The Prime Minister noted that the organization of implementation must promote the spirit of proactiveness, dynamism, creativity and must always adhere to the 5 principles and 5 leadership methods of the Party, resolutely and persistently fight to protect the Party's ideological foundation.
