Attending were Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired and launched the peak period.
The launching ceremony was held within the framework of the Campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains", towards the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2027).
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee handed over the Notice of results of DNA testing of martyrs' remains to representatives of the relatives of 3 martyrs: Nguyen Thien Quyet (formerly from Hai Duong); Doan Van Khai (formerly from Khanh An commune, Yen Khanh province) and Nguyen Trong Cat (formerly from Minh Dan commune, Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa).
According to Major General Vu Van Tan, Director of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, the work of searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains is a sacred political task of the Party and State, reflecting the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", the responsibility of generations towards heroic martyrs.

At the launching ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized that the campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains" is entering a decisive stage to complete the objectives of the campaign.
Currently, there are still over 175,000 martyrs in the country whose remains have not been found, and over 300,000 martyrs' graves are still missing information. This is a major concern for the entire political system and the entire people.
This sacred work is both a responsibility to history and an urgent race against time. Many direct relatives of martyrs are now old and weak; many people have carried the aspiration to find their loved ones throughout their lives.
Every day that passes is an opportunity that may be lost, an additional historical gap that needs to be filled. Meanwhile, identifying the identity of martyrs' remains, especially cases where information is still lacking, requires a methodical, scientific, synchronous, and long-term approach; therefore, the collection of DNA biological samples from relatives of martyrs plays a very important role.
Ministries, branches, and localities must consider this a particularly important political task in the current period," Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized.
According to information from the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, in the past time, the Ministry of Public Security has chaired and coordinated with ministries and branches to identify and recognize the identities of 25 unidentified martyrs. Analyzed and synchronized more than 53,000 DNA data of relatives of unidentified martyrs into the database.
