At the meeting, on behalf of the armed forces of Military Region 4, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee, the Military Region Political Commissar informed about the socio -economic situation of the region, the results of cooperation with the units and localities of Laos in recent years. In recent years, Military Region 4 has actively supported Laos in economic development, strengthening national defense and security, building a strong grassroots political system, contributing to strengthening the special solidarity of Vietnam - Laos.
General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his deep gratitude for the warm and wholehearted support of the Party, State, Army and People of Vietnam for the Lao revolutionary cause; acknowledged the close coordination and enthusiastic assistance of the armed forces of Military Region 4 to units and localities of the Lao People's Army.
The Lao General Secretary and President emphasized his hope that in the coming time, the armed forces of Military Region 4 and units and localities sharing the border of the two countries will continue to coordinate to maintain political security, promote socio-economic development in the border area, and contribute to building the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos to become increasingly strong.
On behalf of the Military Region 4 Command, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of the Military Region expressed his honor at the attention of the General Secretary and President of Laos, pledging that the armed forces of Military Region 4 will always strive to preserve and foster the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in all conditions and circumstances.
