On the afternoon of March 12, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired the first meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation in 2026.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo members: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Also attending the meeting were members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc; Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
Also attending were Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, and the National Advisory Council on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
