General Secretary To Lam discussed with President-elect Donald Trump the positive results of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in recent times. Vietnam is ready to promote the stable and long-term development of bilateral relations for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, cooperation and sustainable development in the region and the world.
General Secretary To Lam also discussed with President-elect Donald Trump a number of major directions to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries in areas where both sides have strengths and needs.
President-elect Donald Trump was pleased to once again have the opportunity to talk with the General Secretary and convey his greetings to the Vietnamese people.
Mr. Donald Trump also expressed his joy at the good development of the relationship between the two countries, affirmed the importance of the relationship with Vietnam and the Vietnam-US economic cooperation, and mentioned a number of areas of economic and trade cooperation that the US is interested in and wishes to promote.
