On the morning of March 31, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Public Security (CATW) organized the Conference of the CATW Party Committee in the first quarter to give opinions on contents under its authority. General Secretary To Lam, Member of the Standing Committee of the CATW Party Committee attended and delivered a directive speech.
Also attending the Conference were State President Luong Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CATW Party Committee; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the CATW Party Committee.
Attending the Conference were Politburo members: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc.
Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee representing leaders of Party committees and the Party Central Committee Office.
On the side of the CATW Party Committee, there was General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the CATW Party Committee, Minister of Public Security chairing the conference; comrades in the CATW Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized: In the first quarter of 2026, the world and regional situation will develop rapidly, extremely complicatedly, and many new issues will appear that directly affect Vietnam's national security and interests.
In that context, the first quarter of the CATW Party Committee Conference was organized to review and evaluate the quality, progress, and effectiveness of key tasks, and set out key tasks and solutions for the second quarter to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the General Secretary's direction on the People's Public Security Forces setting an example in implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, effectively and substantively implementing the Resolution of the 8th CATW Party Congress, unifying guidelines and solutions to turn danger into opportunity, firmly protecting national security and interests in all situations.
At the conference, delegates will study and comment on documents including: Report on key work results of the CATW Party Committee in the first quarter of 2026 and key directions and tasks for the coming time; Assessment of police work in the first quarter and key tasks in the second quarter of 2026; Report on the work that the Standing Committee of the CATW Party Committee has resolved between sessions.
The conference will also listen to comrades in the CATW Party Committee present 5 thematic reports and watch documentaries.
