According to VNA, the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives affirmed that General Secretary To Lam’s visit demonstrated the close relationship between the two countries; emphasized that the Vietnam-Malaysia relationship is of great significance, and believed that the visit would create a mark to promote the strong development of bilateral relations in the coming time.

The two sides shared the significance of Malaysia being the first Southeast Asian country that General Secretary To Lam visited in his new position, demonstrating Vietnam's high regard for Malaysia; emphasizing that the leaders of the two sides have increased meetings and exchanges, demonstrating the strong development of the bilateral relationship in recent times, consolidating mutual understanding and political trust, especially in the new development stage of the two countries.

General Secretary To Lam and Speaker of the House of Representatives Dato’ Johari Bin Abdul emphasized the positive, effective and comprehensive cooperation results between the two countries; affirmed that the two countries are important economic partners of each other, sharing many interests and similar views on regional and international issues.
General Secretary To Lam informed the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives of the results of his talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the two sides' agreement to upgrade the bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; emphasizing that Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia to have the highest level of relations with Vietnam.
The General Secretary suggested that within the framework of the new relationship, the Malaysian Parliament, including the House of Representatives, will strengthen close cooperation with the Vietnamese National Assembly, especially in supervising the effective implementation of documents and cooperation agreements between the two countries; promote the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Malaysian Parliament in the coming time; continue to closely coordinate at multilateral parliamentary forums, contributing to the development of bilateral relations.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam will actively support Malaysia in strongly promoting its role as ASEAN Chair in 2025 for the common interests of ASEAN.
Vietnam will accompany Malaysia in fulfilling its responsibility as Chair of AIPA 46, promoting the role of the Parliament in promoting intra-bloc cooperation and building a united and self-reliant ASEAN Community, consolidating ASEAN's central role in the region.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Dato’ Johari Bin Abdul affirmed that Malaysia, during its term as ASEAN Chair 2025, will strive to promote the strong development of all countries, making Southeast Asia a destination for international investors; truly a region of peace, freedom, trust and neutrality.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Tan Sri Dato’ Johari Bin Abdul affirmed that Malaysia always attaches importance to its relations with Vietnam and wishes to cooperate closely with Vietnam, contributing to enhancing peace, friendship and stability in Southeast Asia, and enhancing the position and role of ASEAN in the region.
