Reporting at the meeting, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh said that with high solidarity and unity, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Giang have achieved important results in all fields.
The scale of the economy increased quite well, and in 2024 it increased 1.4 times compared to 2020. The average product growth rate in the period 2020 - 2024 reached 5.32% (in 2024 it reached 6.05%). The total per capita product reached 39.3 million VND, an increase of 9.5 million VND compared to 2020.
Social security and poverty reduction work has achieved remarkable results, with the multidimensional poverty rate decreasing steadily over the years (6.26% in 2024). In the 2024-2026 period, the elimination of more than 19,500 temporary and dilapidated houses will be completed.
Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam expressed his joy that Ha Giang is always proactive, quickly implementing and concretizing the Central's policies and Resolutions. In difficult conditions, Ha Giang has made quite a comprehensive development, ensuring national defense and security. Especially in efforts to improve the lives of ethnic minorities in remote areas.
General Secretary To Lam pointed out that local development potentials need to focus on exploitation as unique and valuable natural resources for the development of some endemic agricultural products, precious medicinal herbs as well as green medicinal herbs. Ha Giang has abundant and unique tourism resources, located next to the potential market with the world's second largest economy.
Regarding key tasks and solutions in the coming time, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Ha Giang needs to continue to build and rectify the Party and the clean and comprehensive political system. The locality needs to promote the strength of culture, people, and great national unity.
At the same time, prepare well the conditions to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels in accordance with the spirit of Directive 35-CT/TW of the Politburo and guiding documents and instructions of superiors.
To promote comprehensive development, Ha Giang province needs to pay attention to 3 key areas including tourism, border economy, forestry agriculture and high-quality medicinal herbs. To concretize natural and social advantages, Ha Giang's entire political system must be highly determined, dynamic, creative, daring to think, daring to do. It is necessary to strongly improve administrative procedures and the investment and business environment.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the Party Committee and government of Ha Giang province organize the implementation of the Party's policies well, thoroughly grasp and imbued with the central idea of "New Era, era of national growth".
