South African President visits General Vo Nguyen Giap's family

South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa has recorded in the Memorial Book of General Vo Nguyen Giap's family.

On the morning of October 24, South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa and his delegation visited the family of General Vo Nguyen Giap (30 Hoang Dieu, Hanoi).

Accompanying him were Central Party Committee member, Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan.

At the private home of General Vo Nguyen Giap, South African President Matamelail Cyril Ramaphosa and his delegation offered incense and respectfully expressed their deep gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Central Military Commission, former Minister of National Defense, and former Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army.

Mr. Vo Hong Nam, son of General Vo Nguyen Giap, presented South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa with a souvenir photo of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

The General's career was closely associated with the development of our country's revolution and the important, glorious, sacrificed and arduous historical milestones of the Party and the nation.

For more than 30 years as Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, the name of General Vo Nguyen Giap has been associated with the great victory of the two important resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, with the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Our Party, State and people highly appreciate the contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap. Generations of officers and soldiers of our Army respect the General as the Commander of the Vietnam People's Army.
