Ho Chi Minh City mobilizes and appoints key leaders

Ho Chi Minh City has just announced decisions to transfer and appoint key leaders in wards and departments.

On June 1, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work. Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - chaired the conference and awarded the decisions.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Tran Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh My Tay ward - to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of An Khanh ward, term 2025 - 2030.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee also decided to transfer Mr. Nguyen Minh Chanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Phu Dong ward - to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to be received and appointed as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment - was received, transferred, and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of An Phu Dong ward, term 2025 - 2030.

Speaking to assign tasks, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Quoc Phong said that arranging, assigning and mobilizing cadres is a regular task, within the general policy of the City Party Committee to maximize the capacity and strengths of the contingent of cadres.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong emphasized that in the context that Ho Chi Minh City is implementing a 2-level local government model, the role of the grassroots leadership team is of particular importance. This is the force directly organizing the implementation of political tasks, ensuring the stability of the locality, and at the same time contributing to promoting the overall development of the City.

According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the responsibility of the head at the grassroots level is even greater as the City is implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Ho Chi Minh City in the new era, requiring the contingent of cadres to be proactive, creative and drastic in performing assigned tasks.

Previously, at the preliminary conference on a year of implementing the 2-level local government model on May 28, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang said that the City will review the leadership team from the city to communes and wards to have appropriate personnel adjustment plans.

According to the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the City will also consider transferring some officials to more suitable positions to promote capacity and improve the operational efficiency of the apparatus. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City allows flexible mobilization and rotation of personnel between localities and departments and branches when there are practical requirements.
