On October 2, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee signed a document agreeing to transfer Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of Management of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, to work at the City Institute for Development Studies.
Here, Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi will receive the task assigned by the Director of Institute. The Management Board of the High-Tech Park and the City Development Research Institute are assigned to carry out the transfer and reception procedures before October 31.
This transfer decision was made after the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced that the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Standing Committee had removed Mr. Thi from all Party positions.
According to the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do; regulations on exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels; and the Law on Marriage and Family.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, born in 1976, from Quang Ngai, has an Associate Professor and Doctorate degree in mechanics, and was appointed Head of High-Tech Park Management in early 2020. Previously, he was the Director of the Software Technology Park of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
