The Inspectorate must focus on advising and guiding sectors and localities in handling violations that cause waste; and perfecting guidelines for controlling assets and income.

On December 28, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended and gave a speech at an online conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 of the Inspection sector, according to VNA.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged many "bright spots" of the entire Inspection sector in recent times in strengthening and improving the quality of inspection work according to plans and specialized inspections; promoting discipline, discipline, and public ethics; detecting many violations and recommending the recovery of large assets for the State, transferring more than 200 cases to investigation agencies...

"These are good results, contributing significantly to maintaining discipline and order in the country," the First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

At the same time, we need to do a good job of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and have many innovations in this work such as receiving citizens online, enhancing the responsibility of leaders in receiving citizens...

Regarding some shortcomings and limitations, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh pointed out that the work of receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations is a bright spot, but there are still complicated and long-standing cases. Some inspection conclusions are "not convincing", "reasonable" and feasible.

The effectiveness of the inspection system is still “uneven”, especially inspection at the district level. During the inspection process, some inspectors committed violations and had to be criminally prosecuted.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also agreed with the directions and tasks of the Inspection sector in the coming time, such as continuing to promote citizen reception and handling of complaints and denunciations.

Improve the quality of inspection work, anti-corruption work; focus on building and perfecting institutions, laws, and solutions to strengthen discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics.

Emphasizing the need to strongly innovate thinking in performing the functions and tasks of the inspectorate, the First Deputy Prime Minister said that, in addition to detecting and strictly handling violations, an important task is to detect limitations and problems in policies and laws through inspection work, thereby advising on amendments, supplements and improvements.

“Inspection serves socio-economic development, does not become an obstacle, is both strict and practical, and supports the development process” – the First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

The highest goal of inspection is to maintain order and discipline; thereby requiring improvement of the quality of inspection activities, inspection conclusions need to be objective, fair and feasible.

In addition, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Inspection sector deploy to serve well the direction and administration process of the Party and State; serve the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; through the work contributing to the evaluation of cadres in the entire system.

In the context of implementing innovation, restructuring the apparatus, and streamlining the staff in the political system, the First Deputy Prime Minister proposed studying the operational model of the Inspection sector to be effective and efficient.

Regarding waste prevention and control, the Inspectorate focuses on advising and guiding sectors and localities on handling violations that cause waste and solutions to prevent waste; focuses on completing instructions for implementing asset and income control.
