On April 25, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to present the President's decision to officers on a mission to carry out United Nations peacekeeping missions in 2025.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung presented the Decision to the officers of Working Group No. 5 to perform their duties at the UNMISS Delegation in the Republic of South Sudan.

After a very methodical and thorough review, selection, training and coaching process, a rigorous and multiple-trip assessment and selection process of the United Nations, 3 officers of the Working Group No. 5, including: Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Pham Van Doan - Head of Department, People's Public Security Academy; Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Nguyen Van Nam - Deputy Head of Department, People's Security Academy; Captain Tran My Linh - officer of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, were officially awarded the decision and assigned to participate in United Nations peacekeeping activities in 2025.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung emphasized that the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to appoint the Working Group No. 5 to perform the mission at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission today is one of the typical, very meaningful activities that affirm the commitment of the Government of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular to strongly support all efforts for the United Nations to implement the "mission" to keep the peace in the world. From a nation that has poured so much blood and bones to win peace, now, Vietnam has worked with friends, partners to create peace and peacekeeping.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung said that the officers sent to the field must determine that this is a great honor and pride, but at the same time, it is also the responsibility of the selected People's Public Security officers.

Mr. Tung suggested that officers maintain political courage, exemplary qualities, solidarity and responsibility, promote their abilities, qualifications, experience and skills, and excellently complete assigned tasks;

Promote the knowledge that has been trained and coached, grasp the area early, maximize capacity and qualifications to apply for work positions at the Ministry. Solidarity and effective coordination with military officers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs overcame difficulties, excellently completed tasks, paid attention to ensuring security and safety...

Representatives of the working group officers No. 5 spoke to accept the task, Captain Tran My Linh expressed his determination to overcome all difficulties and successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Ministry of Public Security and the United Nations; Promote the spirit of the soldier of the People's Police bravery, intelligence, responsibility and discipline in the United Nations working environment; Focusing on building a beautiful image of the country and people of friendly, hospitable, loving peace, positive and responsible for the international community.
