Dien Hong Ward was established on the basis of merging the entire Ward 6, Ward 8 and part of Ward 14. The new ward has an area of 1.86 km2, with a population of about 75,633 people.
The headquarters of Dien Hong Ward People's Committee is located at 474 3 Thang 2 Street - the old headquarters of District 10 People's Committee.
Vuon Lai Ward was established from the merger of Wards 1, 2, 4, 9 and 10. The total area of the ward is 1.27 km2 with a population of about 104,076 people.
The headquarters of the People's Committee of Vuon Lai Ward is located at 410 - 412 Ngo Gia Tu Street, which was previously the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ward 4.
Hoa Hung Ward was established on the basis of merging Wards 12, 13, 15 and the rest of Ward 14. The ward area is 2.59 km2, population is about 96,414 people.
The working headquarters of the People's Committee of Hoa Hung Ward is located at A4 - A8 Chau Thoi Street, the old headquarters of the People's Committee of Ward 15.
Ho Chi Minh City is piloting the model of local government at the commune level in 102 newly established wards and communes, before officially putting it into operation from July 1.
