On April 15, at the Presidential Palace, Member of the Politburo, President Luong Cuong held talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the talks, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam consistently considered the consolidation and development of friendship and cooperation with China as an objective requirement, strategic selection and top priority in the overall foreign policy of independent, autonomous, peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing, multilateralization, diversification of external relations.
General Secretary and President Xi Jinping said that this year is 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations, also the year of Van Trung -Vietnam Humanity Exchange, over the past 75 years, the framework of the two countries from traditional friendship, comrades have become a join hands to build a community to share a strategic significance, form a model of friendship, mutual and solidarity.

Appreciating rich results and important common awareness achieved at talks and meetings between General Secretary, President Xi Jinping and key leaders of Vietnam, President Luong Cuong stated a number of proposals and great directions in cooperation between the two countries in the coming time:
Firstly, maintain regular exchanges to enhance reliability, share management and development experiences of the country, promote the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms on the Party, Government, National Assembly/Humanity, Fatherland Front/the second half of the country.
Secondly, raising the actual cooperation in the fields, the focus is to bring science and technology cooperation to become a new pillar, new motivation, and new bright spot for bilateral cooperation.
Thirdly, well implemented the year of Vietnam -China humanities exchanges 2025, strengthening people's friendship and exchange to strengthen the social foundation for bilateral relations.
Fourthly, enhance the exchange and coordination in international forums and areas where the two sides are members, supporting each other to improve their roles and positions in the international arena.
Fifthly, adequately controlled and resolved disagreements at sea on the basis of compliance with senior common awareness, in accordance with international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in 1982, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment in the South China Sea and in the region.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping highly appreciated the positive opinions and important proposals of President Luong Cuong, affirming that the Party and State of China desired and ready to maintain high -level strategic exchange with Vietnam to promote the role of leading bilateral relations; continue to deepen the cooperation of Party, Government, military and law enforcement; well implementing the cooperation plan connecting the "belt, road" initiative with the framework of "two corridors, one belt";
Ready to accompany Vietnam to promote cooperation on transport infrastructure, especially 3 railways connecting the two countries, economic cooperation areas across the border and smart border gates; expand import of high quality goods of Vietnam; promote cooperation in emerging areas, such as: green development, 5g, artificial intelligence;
Deploying rich and diverse humanitarian exchanges to connect the people's hearts, focusing on the younger generation of the two countries when the youth of the two countries are considered as the foundation and future of Central -Vietnam relations; Deploying small and beautiful people's projects, as well as strengthening local exchange activities, cooperating in the fields of education, culture and tourism, in order to go into the heart of the people of the two countries;
Strengthen cooperation in multilateral mechanisms, such as APEC, ASEAN, Lan Thuong - Mekong; It is recommended that the two sides perform well the senior common awareness, adequately controlled disagreements and expand cooperation at sea.
After the talks, President Luong Cuong chaired a solemn reception for General Secretary, President Xi Jinping and the Chinese High -Level Delegation.
