On the afternoon of August 7, during a working trip to Dong Thap, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and members of the Central working delegation visited and encouraged the forces on duty at Thuong Phuoc International Border Gate. Accompanying him were Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

After listening to representatives of the forces on duty report on the situation of activities in recent times, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his joy at knowing that there are about 130 vehicles entering and exiting the delivery area through the border gate each day; the amount of imported agricultural products is about 7,000 tons; Inland waterway transport vehicles entering and exiting 200 trips/day. In particular, import-export tax revenue since the beginning of the year is about 298 billion VND.

Appreciating the efforts of the forces on duty, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia noted and emphasized the strategic role and position of Thuong Phuoc International Border Gate both economically and internationally.

With that meaning, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the forces continue to be united, unified, smart, and brave in performing their tasks, contributing to preserving and protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's borders. "We must further strengthen the work of building a solid national defense posture, protecting border security, both creating conditions for socio-economic development, combined with building a peaceful and friendly border", the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department emphasized.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, this is a solid foundation to proactively grasp the situation, not to be passive and surprised in any situation...

On this occasion, on behalf of the Central working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia presented gifts and wished the officers and soldiers to always be healthy, always perform well their duties, contributing to preserving and protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's borders.
